Like all artists, all I ask is that he admire my masterpiece forever. Oh, and leave it on the kitchen counter, so any visitors can see it while Glynn acts as if he’s happy to have it there. (We’ve been together for years now. There are times when you simply have to use your partner’s reactions to amuse yourself.)
I meant to wander by the website a little earlier than now, but I thought I’d given The Nanny with the Skull Tattoos a little room to breathe. Also, I wanted to announce our new novella – oh, I so much want to share its name, it makes me laugh – but all of our beta readers are MIA and Glynn hasn’t even started the final edit.
I think it’s the chicken. Glynn just can’t seem to focus while she’s around.
Happily, I’ve found a brand new reader to do some beta’ing (thank you, Melissa!), and I sent her the manuscript this morning. Once she’s gone over the story, Glynn has promised to roll up his sleeves and wrap this project. After he’s done, we’ll send our words over to the cover artist and then, finally then, at last then, I’ll be able to share the title with the world.
Maybe next week? I make no promises.
